Tasting Notes
Lavish yet impeccably light on its feet, this Muscat vin doux naturel offers intensely ripe, concentrated tangerine and honeysuckle notes offset by whiffs of fresh, green herb. It's a silky, sweet wine anchored by a lingering thread of minerality and integrated alcohol.
About the Winery
The Maison Paul Jaboulet Aine was created in 1834 on a hillside by the Rhone and a family with a passion for winemaking. Over the years, the Domaines Paul Jaboulet Aine took ownership of the finest appellations of the northern Rhone Valley, including not only Hermitage and CĂ´te RĂ´tie, but also Crozes Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Cornas and Saint-Peray, and Condrieu. In 2006, the Frey family with a long standing reputation in the Champagne region and owners of CHÂTEAU La Lagune in Bordeaux, took over the Maison Paul Jaboulet Aine. Caroline, the eldest daughter of the family, who has a degree in oenology from Bordeaux, works with her teams using biodynamic methods in a single-minded quest for perfection. Their cutting-edge winemaking, combined with the scrupulous care given to vine growing in exceptional terroirs, leads to believe that the greatest vintages are yet to come. Respecting the environment is important to Jaboulet, this is why Maison Paul Jaboulet Aine has ISO 9001 and 14001 certification pending and is an ardent supporter of sustainable agriculture.
