Yarra Yering

Founded by Dr. Bailey Carrodus in 1969, is located in Victoria’s Yarra Valley. The vineyards, left in their natural state with untouched gravel and clay loam soils, benefit from the region's cool climate and old, low-yielding vines. This results in wines with concentrated fruit, natural acidity, minerality, and longevity. Their blends are labeled by number, with Dry Red No. 1 featuring Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux varieties, while Dry Red No. 2 is a Rhône-style Shiraz blend. Notable wines include the Underhill Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and a rare, small-batch Merlot.
