Wine Region: Macedon Ranges, Victoria, Australia
Grape: Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes:
Evocative aromas of bramble, sour cherries, hedgerow fruits and sweet spices are lifted by elegant herbal notes and a whiff of undergrowth. Pristine fruit shines on the palate with wonderful purity before the textures expand to reveal its deep and earthy complexities. The balance is retained throughout and the savoury finish is delectable.

About the Winery:
Cobaw Ridge was established in 1985 by Alan and Nelly Cooper in the Macedon Ranges. This estate is the only certified organic and biodynamic producer in the region. Alan firmly believes that great wines are made in the vineyard. The vines come first at Cobaw Ridge. They grow excellent examples of Syrah, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and Australia's most sought-after example of Lagrein. Over the years Alan's winemaking approach has become more and more minimalist. With sulphur now the only addition in the winery and Alan using more inert vessels such as Qvevri, the Cobaw Ridge Wines have never looked better.
