Wine Region: Kamptal, Austria
Type: Red Wine
Grape: Zweigelt
Tasting Notes
This Zweigelt labeled “Niederösterreich” is defined by the Austrian Danube wine area, which is – in relation to red wine – among the “cool climate” regions.
ROBERT PARKER - The Wine Advocate, 12/21: 92 points Aged in 50-hectoliter oak vats, the 2018 Domæne Gobelsburg Zweigelt is deep and intensely aromatic on the dense, stimulatingly fruity nose that opens to dark cherry and berry aromas with a delicate, spicy, Syrah-like touch. Juicy, round and elegant on the palate, this medium-bodied wine reveals stunning concentration and juiciness for this price level as well as elegant and refreshing mineral acidity that leads the wine to an intense and spicy finish. This is a Best Buy and goes well with many dishes.
