Wine Region: Mosel, Germany
Grape: Riesling
Tasting Notes
It offers a zesty, fruity, aromatic, and fresh nose of lime, orange zest, pink grapefruit, herbs, earthy spices, smoke, licorice, and blackberry. Some nice tickly acidity lifts up the flavors on the palate before a smoother but also quite delicate side underpinned by nice ripe yellow fruit comes through. The wine leaves a nice feel of zest and spices in the impressive and slightly powerful finish.
About the Winery
For 300 years, the Richter family has owned and farmed vineyards in the central Mosel area. Owned by the same family that first purchased the vineyards in 1643, the winery boasted one of the largest fuder oak barrel wine cellars in the Mosel area. The winery is currently managed by the 9th and 10th generation concurrently, producing world-class Rieslings from some of the most esteemed vineyards in the Mosel, and all production comes from estate holdings.
