Satisfying aromas of Satsuma plum, blackberry, blueberry and spice. The palate is a dense amalgam of dark fruits, berries and plums, mouth coating tannins complete the palate. Being a strong, gutsy red, this is the perfect match for a thick juicy grilled steak or a herby cheesy stuffed aubergine.

About The Winery

The winery is Ferngrove, in vast Western Australia, based in a wine area called Frankland River. The first wines on this side of Australia date back to the 1830's in the Perth area. The various districts south of Perth came in the late 60's, all in all stretching from Perth to Albany, along the Limestone coast. This very small region of Australia, just the tip really on the south-west side, is mostly known for the wines from Margaret River.
