Wine Region:Franklin River Valley, Western Australia
The Ferngrove Black Label Sauvignon Blanc has lively aromas of passionfruit, gooseberry and lime zest. The palate is fresh and juicy with intense citrus, passionfruit and paw paw flavours balanced by zippy acidity and a textural finish.
About The Winery
The winery is Ferngrove, in vast Western Australia, based in a wine area called Frankland River. The first wines on this side of Australia date back to the 1830’s in the Perth area. The various districts south of Perth came in the late 60’s, all in all stretching from Perth to Albany, along the Limestone coast. This very small region of Australia, just the tip really on the south-west side, is mostly known for the wines from Margaret River.
