A careful and selective work in the vineyard, the constant analysis during the ripening process, the manual harvest and the use of the sorting tables are at the basis of our flagship wine which is meant to age very long. Ageing part in French oak barriques and partly in medium capacity casks for a minium of 24 months. Before release the wine is bottle-aged for a minimum of 4 months.
About the Winery
The FANTI estate, owned by the homonym family since the early ˜800, has always been a benchmark in the production of wine, extra-virgin olive oil and cereals in the area of Montalcino. In the early seventies Filippo Fanti, the current owner, took the lead of the family company and marked and important turning point.
