Tasting Notes
Dark red with a purple border. On the nose, rich tones of spices, black berries, candied orange with a hint of black pepper. The palate is fresh, with a lovely tannic structure on fine tannins. The finish is long, with a touch of black cherry, roasted characters, and candied fruits.
About the Winery
Here is one of the 3 largest properties of the Chateauneuf-du-Pape appellation with its 92 hectares of vines. Very old vineyard, the first archives of Chateau la Nerthe date back to the 16th century when the estate was named the Ferme du Beauvenir. His name today echoes one of the members of the family who bought it in the 16th century and who was none other than a prior living on the Nerthe Massif.
