Peccavi Estate is a small family vineyard located in the “sweet spot” sub-region of Yallingup in the north of the Margaret River region. Our vineyard thrives in an ideal, balanced maritime climate where winds from Antarctica carry the purest rainfall to feed the vines in the winter and cooling sea breezes from the Indian Ocean moderate the long dry summer days.
During the hot growing period our viticulture practices encourage vine roots to drive deep, past loamy top soils down to the sub-strata of ancient granite in search of nutrients and water.This process ultimately concentrates flavour in the fruit and adds natural mineral characters to our finished wines.
Our uncompromising approach to all aspects of viticulture has earned Peccavi a high recognition for producing outstanding quality fruit. Our grapes are so desirable that several of Margaret River’s top producers buy fruit we don’t use in making our Estate wines.
After carefully hand-picking much of the fruit from our 16 hectare vineyard, we select only the best grapes to produce our Peccavi wines.This labour in the vineyard and winery is time-consuming, but is also motivated by a passion to craft top quality wine.
