About the Winery:
The Fanti family came to Montalcino in the early 19th century, almost two centuries before the birth of Brunello. The vineyards of Tenuta Fanti are located in the immediate vicinity of the parcels of Sassetti and Poggio di Sotto. In 1970, Filippo Fanti starts to cultivate Sangiovese for the production of Brunello di Montalcino with the first ever vintage of Fanti’s Brunello di Montalcino presented in 1980. In 2007, Elisa Fanti joins the company full time alongside her father, Fllippo and the importance of the Fanti brand keeps growing, reinforcing its position in the domestic and international scenario. Modern wine making technologies were introduced drawing inspiration from the tradition. Innovation was consciously and constantly brought in the production process. The approximately 300 hectare property has been restructured and expanded over the past 15 years.
“Inside each bottle, there is our passion and our soul. The wines we produce must fully express our territory and the peculiarities of each vintage, in order to enhance what the vineyards offer us.” – FIlippo and Elisa Fanti
